We are in the midst of sweeping the perimeters of all Chateaux and have found several areas where this is a concern (see the attached photos for what has been picked up recently). If you or your visitors are smokers, leave a suitable container or a can filled with water on your balcony to dispose of cigarette butts.
Severe consequences will apply to individuals responsible for improper disposal of cigarette butts, which includes condo corporation sanctions and City of Calgary fines.
If you notice a neighbour being careless, please contact onsitemanager@wedgewoods.ca or the Calgary Fire Department to report them.
Remember that in accordance with bylaw 61(b)(xi) and (xxiii) you are prohibited from throwing anything off your balcony nor do anything which will or would tend to increase the risk of fire. We live in a very flammable forest!
